Progressive Field Bag Policy: New Bag Rules for 2025

After attending dozens of games at Progressive Field over the years, I've learned that understanding the bag policy before you arrive makes everything so much smoother.   Purses follow the same 16″ x 16″ x 8″ rule as other bags. Most standard purses and crossbody bags fall well within these dimensions. I've seen people bring everything from small backpack purses to larger totes without any issues, as long as they're under the size limit.

  Here's a tip from experience: if you're unsure whether your purse meets the requirements, measure it at home before you leave. The gate attendants have measuring devices and will check if there's any question. Small clutch purses are always a safe bet and don't even get a second look during inspection.

  Progressive Field Water Bottle Policy

  You can bring one factory-sealed plastic water bottle up to 20 ounces per person. This is one of my favorite policies because Cleveland summers can get brutally hot, especially if you're sitting in the upper deck. Empty reusable water bottles are also allowed, and there are water fountains throughout the stadium where you can refill them.

  Pro tip: freeze your water bottle the night before a day game. It'll stay cold well into the middle innings and feels amazing on a 90-degree afternoon. Just remember it needs to be plastic, no metal bottles or glass containers.
